About

I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a bachelor’s degree in English and a concentration in Linguistics. There, I was recognized as a promising doctoral candidate by Sally Casanova Scholars and McNair Scholars. My work is dedicated to my love of language, spanning both academic and creative projects.

My current research interests include medieval literature, the Renaissance and the Reformation, religion, horror and monsters, Shakespeare, drama, women in history, race, identity, and nationalism. I plan to pursue a master’s degree in English and a career as a professor. I discovered my love of teaching while working at Mt. San Jacinto College. As a first-generation student, my education has been invaluable to the evolution of my worldview, my personal growth, and my ability to make meaningful contributions to my community.

In my spare time, I enjoy experimenting with different art mediums and learning new crafts. You can also find me reading, running, trying new foods, fawning over my cat, and exploring new places.
